Perfect For
The Quiet Night Duo Firm mattress works beautifully for back and stomach sleepers who prefer a firmer sleeping surface with traditional innerspring support. Similarly, it's ideal for guest rooms, children's bedrooms, or vacation homes where quality matters but budget is a consideration. In addition, the double-sided design makes this mattress perfect for those who want to maximize their investment through regular flipping and rotation. What Makes the Quiet Night Duo Firm Special
The Quiet Night Duo Firm mattress features double-sided construction that allows you to flip and rotate the mattress, distributing wear evenly for exceptional longevity. Additionally, the 13 gauge steel innerspring provides traditional support that many sleepers prefer over foam alternatives. Furthermore, this mattress includes 6 double-edge guard side supports—reinforced perimeter coils that prevent edge sagging and maintain structural integrity. This mattress stands out with its 20-year warranty, matching our premium lines despite its budget-friendly price point. Specifically, this construction combined with the ability to flip the mattress means you're getting twice the sleeping surfaces for extended durability.

Bed Height Considerations
At 10 inches, the Quiet Night Duo Firm offers a traditional mattress profile. Your total bed height depends on three factors: mattress height, foundation height, and bed frame height.Estimated Total Bed Heights with Available Foundations:
- With 8"H Foundation: Approximately 25-27 inches from floor to mattress top (10" mattress + 8" foundation + 7-9" typical bed frame)
- With 5"H Foundation: Approximately 22-24 inches (10" mattress + 5" foundation + 7-9" bed frame)
- With 2"H Bunkie Board: Approximately 19-21 inches (10" mattress + 2" bunkie board + 7-9" bed frame)
- Platform Bed (no foundation needed): Approximately 17-22 inches (10" mattress + 7-12" typical platform bed height)
Important Considerations:
- Headboard Coverage: Most headboards have decorative elements that begin approximately 14-16 inches above the bed frame rail. With the Quiet Night Duo Firm's 10-inch height, even the tallest foundation combination (8"H Foundation at 25-27" total) typically preserves full headboard visibility and proportions.
- Sheet Tucking with Bunkie Boards: When using the 2"H Bunkie Board with bed frames that have side rails, the rails (typically 7-9" tall) will extend above the bunkie board surface. This makes tucking sheets difficult without lifting the mattress, which can cause finger pinching between the mattress and rail. If you prefer easier bed-making, consider the 5"H or 8"H Foundation instead, which sits higher than most bed frame rails.
- For standard bed height (25-27"): Pair with our 8"H Foundation (included standard with Quiet Night Duo)
- For lower bed height (22-24"): Choose our 5"H Foundation (good for children's rooms or those preferring lower beds)
- For minimal bed height (19-21"): Use our 2"H Bunkie Board on a standard bed frame (ideal for bunk beds or very low-profile setups, though sheet tucking requires lifting the mattress)
- For platform beds: Select "Mattress Only"—no additional foundation needed when placing directly on a solid platform deck
Returns & Warranty
90-Day Comfort Trial: Sleep on your new Quiet Night Duo Firm for at least 30 nights before deciding — most bodies need time to adjust. If it's not quite right, you have two options:
- Swap for a different mattress for a $250 swap fee.
- Return it for a $250 return fee.
A mattress protector is strongly recommended — stained mattresses are not eligible for return, swap, or warranty service.
20-Year Limited Warranty: Covered against defects in workmanship or materials. Full no-charge repair or replacement for the first 7 years; prorated coverage continues through year 20. Proper foundation support is required for warranty validity — compatible foundations include Monarch Rest foundations, platform beds with solid decks, or standard bed frames with center support. Not recommended for adjustable bases.
For the complete claim process, impression measurement instructions, and full warranty terms, see our Mattress Returns, Swaps & Warranty page.
Why Choose Monarch Rest
Unlike mass-produced mattresses, every Quiet Night Duo Firm mattress is handcrafted by skilled Amish artisans who've perfected their craft over generations. Consequently, you receive a mattress built to last 20 years, not just 5-7 like many competitors. Our spring wire gauge specifications exceed industry standards—we use 13 gauge steel compared to the typical 14.5 gauge found in big-box stores. Additionally, our high-density 1.8 weight foam padding lasts approximately twice as long as the industry-standard 1.2 weight foam. The double-sided construction with double-edge guard supports provides exceptional value at a budget-friendly price point.Care & Maintenance
To maximize your investment, we recommend using a mattress protector at all times. Additionally, rotate the mattress head-to-foot AND flip it every six months (Spring and Fall) to ensure even wear on both sides.Buying from Millwest
