Design & Character

Economy Collection

The Economy Collection earns its keep with thoughtful detail rather than flash, and the bookcase shows it in the quiet touches: a beveled top edge and gently curved gables that lift it above the flat-pack shelving most offices settle for. At 32 inches wide and a full 60 inches tall, it makes real use of vertical space, holding a deep library of books, binders, and boxes without taking over the room. Three adjustable shelves let you set the spacing for tall reference volumes or short paperbacks and reset it whenever the collection changes. It is open, honest storage in real wood, built to look at home in a working office.

Craftsmanship

Every Economy piece is benchmade by Amish craftsmen in Fredericksburg, Ohio, where A&L Furniture has built solid hardwood office furniture since 1996. The work happens on-site from rough lumber to final coat, which is how the shop keeps both its quality and its prices in hand. The shelves are solid wood rather than hollow board, so they carry a full load of books across a 60-inch span without bowing in the middle. A three-step finishing process, applied by hand, brings out the grain and seals every surface against years of daily use. It is the kind of build that answers for itself and holds up to real work.

Heirloom Quality

Built to last, this bookcase is solid hardwood through and through, with no veneer or particleboard hiding under the finish. Solid wood shelving holds a heavy row of books for years without sagging or bowing, the failure that eventually ruins cheaper shelving. The adjustable shelves rest on solid wood supports and reset cleanly whenever your library grows. Choose from a deep menu of species and stains so the bookcase matches the desk it stands beside and the room it lands in. Order it your way and Millwest delivers your finished bookcase straight to your door with nationwide delivery across the continental US, putting heirloom solid wood within reach.
