Get the Color You Want

If you’re aiming to coordinate with an existing piece of furniture, consider requesting stain samples beforehand.  Computer screens rarely accurately represent the final color, so seeing the stain in person under your lighting conditions is key.

Deposits to Secure Your Order

A deposit of 30% is required before we process an order. On items with custom features, a deposit of 50% is required. We will indicate when an order is custom. All specifications such as stain color and hardware need to be indicated before an order can be sent to the craftsman. 

Placing Your Order

You place your order by choosing all your customization options: stain color, wood type, hardware, and any other details available for your piece. Add your customized furniture to your cart, then head to checkout where you can include any additional special instructions before completing your payment.

Making Changes

We understand you might need to adjust your order. We will do our best to accommodate changes requested within 7 days of your order placement. However, changes after 7 days may not be possible or may involve extra fees to cover any materials purchased and work completed on your order.

We strive to provide accurate information on all prices, delivery rates, and product details. However, occasionally we do make errors. We reserve the right to correct any such mistakes at any time. We may correct an error even after an order is placed. In those cases, we’ll offer you the option to cancel your order and receive a full refund, even if the order was a custom order.

To ensure your order reaches the craftsman correctly, we have multiple salespeople and knowledgeable office workers review orders before sending them to the craftsman. If we identify discrepancies we made that will change your desired item or raise the price, we’ll send you a revised order for your approval before confirming with the craftsman. If the revised order doesn’t meet your needs because of our discrepancies, you can request a full cancellation and refund.

Canceling Orders

You can cancel your order for a full deposit refund within 7 days of placing it. If you need to cancel after 7 days, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. However, cancellations after 7 days are handled under our return policy and a restocking fee may apply.

We place orders in good faith, but there may be rare instances where we need to cancel your order. In that case, we’ll notify you promptly and provide you a full refund in the original form of payment. For example, we might cancel your order due to unforeseen furniture unavailability from the builder.

Sales Tax

Millwest currently doesn’t collect sales tax outside of Ohio. However, you might still owe “use tax” if you reside in another state.  “Use tax” applies to out-of-state purchases that aren’t charged sales tax at checkout. 

Final Payments

• Long-Distance Deliveries: Final payment is due after your furniture has been built but before we schedule delivery. We will contact you to collect the final payment. If you would prefer a different arrangement, let us know at least 72-hours prior to the expected order completion date. 
• Local Deliveries: If within our local delivery range, full payment is due at time of delivery except in the case of the pre-arranged financing. Our delivery team is able to receive final payment in cash, check, or credit card. To ensure smooth delivery, please have your final payment ready when your furniture arrives. If you’re unable to complete payment at delivery, additional fees will apply for return shipping and restocking. We’ll work with you to reschedule once payment is arranged.
• Pickups: Full payment is due at the time of your pickup. Please ensure your remaining balance is ready when you arrive to pick up your furniture. Payment must be completed before we can release your order. If pickup is delayed due to payment issues, a restocking fee will apply to cover our storage and handling costs.

Delivery Options

We deliver Amish furniture directly to your home anywhere in the continental US. Choose the service that best fits your needs. Below are the delivery details you need to know.

In-Home Delivery to the Lower 48 States

Skip the heavy lifting and enjoy expert delivery service! We partner with third-party shipping companies that specialize in delivering Amish furniture to bring your order directly into your home. A delivery team of one or two people will unload and carefully unpack your furniture, carry everything to its designated spot in your home, and provide light assembly as needed.

Shipping is calculated during checkout based on the items you choose and your zip code. A $200 minimum shipping fee applies to all deliveries outside of Ohio.

Please note the following:

• We are unable to assemble cribs, move or remove existing furniture, or anchor pieces to walls.
• Delivery teams must be able to access your rooms through standard doorways. They will not remove windows or doors to place furniture.
• Someone must be present during delivery. If nobody is home, we may leave the premises and charge an additional delivery fee upon return.
• If a piece of furniture doesn’t fit through your doorways or into the room you originally planned, our team will be happy to set it up in another space of your choosing. If you’d prefer we not leave the furniture, we can bring it back to the store, though a restocking fee will apply in that case.

We’re unable to take financial responsibility in situations where these delivery guidelines aren’t followed.

We offer exceptional in-home delivery rates for Ohio residents, whether you purchase from our Plain City showroom or online. Online rates are calculated by zip code, and all Ohio deliveries are handled by our top-rated, in-house delivery team.

Free Shipping on Berlin Gardens Outdoor Furniture

We ship most Berlin Gardens poly outdoor furniture to your home for free. Smaller items arrive in boxes via UPS and typically require assembly. Many larger Berlin Gardens pieces ship via box truck or trailer and often arrive fully assembled.

Some larger Berlin Gardens items — such as large dining sets, swings, and large gliders — carry a per-item shipping charge due to their size and freight requirements. Shipping costs for these items are calculated and shown at checkout. Product pages indicate whether assembly is required.

In-Store Pickup

If you’ve ordered in person at our Plain City store, you’re welcome to pick up your furniture from our warehouse during our pickup hours (shown in the bottom banner and on our Contact Us page).

A few things to know before you come:

• Please call ahead if you’d like help loading — we’ll let you know if someone is available to assist.
• Our furniture is not boxed or wrapped, so please bring blankets and tie-downs.
• If you don’t have blankets, we rent them for a $10 refundable deposit.

Preparing for Furniture Delivery

Ensure furniture fit.

It’s important to carefully measure your space before ordering to ensure the furniture will fit comfortably. We recommend double-checking all dimensions. It is your responsibility to ensure that all furniture items will fit through any access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators and around corners into the desired location. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for items that don’t fit.

Ensure truck access.

If your driveway or access path has obstacles that prevent the delivery truck from reaching your location safely, the delivery may not be possible. If we’re unable to complete a delivery, we’ll bring your furniture safely back to the store. The delivery fee still applies in this case, since transportation costs are incurred whether the delivery is completed or not. Please consider any potential access limitations before placing your order. Please consider any weight restrictions that your driveway may have. If you are unsure, please contact us. Unfortunately, if our delivery trucks aren’t able to safely reach your location, we’re unable to offer a refund for the delivery. A restocking fee may also apply to cover our handling and warehouse storage.

Double-check your shipping address.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all ship-to address information is correct. This is particularly important if you have multiple residences. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for items sent to the wrong location. Additional restocking fees may apply to cover our handling and warehouse costs.

Understanding Delivery Timeframes

While we strive to deliver your handcrafted furniture as quickly as possible, uncontrollable delays do sometimes happen. When they do, we’re unable to offer refunds or take financial responsibility for any related losses or events. Below are a few common examples of what we’d consider an uncontrollable delay. This list is not comprehensive, but only examples of what is considered uncontrollable:

Furniture crafting:

Our craftsmen provide estimated completion times, but unforeseen circumstances can sometimes extend the crafting process. To keep you informed, we will do our best to communicate any updates to your estimated delivery date.

West of the Mississippi

Due to the vast distances and lower population densities in the Western United States, deliveries are less frequent.  Deliveries there typically take several weeks longer to reach their destinations compared to locations east of the Mississippi River.

Severe Weather

Natural disasters, snow, rain, and ice on the roads may also delay your delivery.

Furniture Storage

We understand that unexpected situations may require you to adjust your delivery date. We are happy to hold your completed furniture in storage until you are ready to receive it. A storage fee of 2% of your total order value will apply per month beyond the longest estimated lead time originally indicated on your order.

Settling Your Balance

Online Orders

After your furniture has been built, we will contact you to settle the remaining balance. Upon payment confirmation, one of our trusted delivery partners will reach out to schedule a convenient delivery time via call, text, or email.

Local Deliveries

Once your furniture is built and arrives at our warehouse in Plain City, we’ll contact you to schedule a convenient delivery time. After delivery and your final inspection, our delivery team can process your final payment via cash, check, or credit card.

In-Store Pickup

Pay for your furniture in the store before heading to the warehouse to pick up our pieces.

What is Covered

We cover hardwood furniture against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the delivery date.

What is Not Covered

• Normal wear and tear, including fading, scratches, dents, and minor imperfections
• Damage from misuse, abuse, neglect, improper cleaning, accidents, or natural disasters (e.g., fire, flood, earthquake)
• Damage from improper assembly or furniture modification
• Furniture purchased “as-is”
• Commercial use of furniture

Our Responsibility

If you discover a defect covered by this warranty within one year of purchase, Millwest will repair or replace the defective component(s) at our discretion. We cover labor and materials costs for repairs by our qualified technicians. For replacements, we may provide a similar model of equal or greater value.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Contact Millwest customer service (614) 873-1932 within one year of purchase to make a warranty claim. You must provide a description and photos of the defect.

Disclaimer

This warranty serves as the sole and exclusive remedy for defects in materials and workmanship of Millwest’s hardwood furniture. Millwest disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Our liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective furniture components. Millwest shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from defects in materials or workmanship.

Please Note

This warranty becomes void if anyone other than an authorized Millwest technician modifies or repairs the furniture.

Mattress Swaps, Returns, & Warranty

90-Day Comfort Trial: If your mattress isn’t right, swap it for a different model for a $250 fee or return it for a $250 fee. No additional shipping fees apply.
20-Year Limited Warranty: Monarch Rest mattresses are covered against defects in workmanship or materials. The first 7 or 10 years (depending on your model) offer full no-charge repair or replacement; coverage continues on a prorated basis through year 20.

Outdoor Furniture – Berlin Gardens’ Warranty

• Berlin Gardens maintains a twenty-year limited warranty for residential customers of HDPE and MGP products
• For commercial customers of these products, there is a five-year limited warranty
• Some exceptions apply to these warranty terms

Poly Play Set Warranty

Five-Year Limited Warranty:

Hershberger Lawn Structures, Ltd., 8990 SR 39, Millersburg, Ohio 44654, hereinafter the Company, warrants to the original purchaser its Play Mor Swing Sets to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of sale.

Twenty-Year Limited Warranty:

The Company warrants to the original purchaser (1) all Woodguard wooden components against damage caused by termites and fungal decay and (2) its metal braces, Play Mor Scoop Wave Slides, and Play Mor Baby Swings to be free from defects in material and workmanship for twenty years after the original purchase date.

General Provisions Applicable To Both Warranties:

“Defects” do not include surface rust on metal parts and chains; surface checking and cracking on wood which does not affect the structural integrity of the Swing Set; mold growth; fading, peeling, blistering, or any other deterioration of the stain application; or fading of colors on unit components and therefore such conditions are not covered by these warranties. Our obligation under these warranties is expressly limited to repairing or replacing, at our option, any parts of the warranted item found by us to be defective in material or workmanship.

Limitations & Exclusions:

The Company’s obligation under these warranties shall not include any transportation charges, cost of installation, nor any liability for special, indirect or consequential damage or delay, whether arising in contract, in tort, under warranty, or otherwise. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation on incidental or consequential damages, so the foregoing limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. The Company shall not be held liable under warranty for damage arising from transport, vandalism, or improper handling and storage at the site of any dealer or reseller prior to installation. Any improper use or abuse of the warranted item shall void this warranty. This limited warranty extends only to items used for personal, household or residential use, and not to public, commercial or other use.

Additional Terms:

The Company makes no other warranty, expressed or implied. The Company makes no warranty of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose beyond the term of the express warranty; however, some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this exclusion may not apply to you. No employee or representative is authorized to change this warranty in any way or grant any other warranty on behalf of the Company.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Wood Play Set Warranty

Five-Year Limited Warranty:

Hershberger Lawn Structures, Ltd., 8990 SR 39, Millersburg, Ohio 44654, hereinafter the Company, warrants to the original purchaser its Play Mor Swing Sets to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of sale.

Ten-Year Limited Warranty:

The Company warrants to the original purchaser (1) all treated yellow pine wooden components against damage caused by termites and fungal decay and (2) its metal braces, PlayMor Scoop Wave Slides, and Play Mor Baby Swings to be free from defects in material and workmanship for ten (10) years after the original purchase date.

General Provisions Applicable To Both Warranties:

Hardwood Frames — Lifetime Parts & Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all frames against warping or breakage for the lifetime of the product.

Spring Units — Lifetime Parts & Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all pre-engineered seat spring coil units against failure and loss of resiliency for the lifetime of the product.

Qualux® Ultra Seat Foam Cores — Lifetime Parts, 1 Year Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all seat foam cores against loss of resiliency for the lifetime of the product. The seat foam core refers to the inner foam of the cushion, not the fiber wrap, the fabric or leather casing, or padovers. The loss of seat foam core resilience should not be confused with a slight softening of seating foam that will occur as a result of normal use.

Recliner Mechanisms — 5 Year Parts, 1 Year Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all recliner mechanisms against failure or manufacturing defects for a period of five years on parts and one year on labor to replace the mechanism.

Motors (Recliners and Tilts) — 3 Year Parts, 1 Year Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all recliner and tilt motors against failure or manufacturing defects for a period of three years on parts and one year on labor to replace the motor.

Tilt-Back Mechanisms, Swivel Rings & Swivel Glider Mechanisms — 2 Year Parts, 1 Year Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all tilt-back mechanisms, swivel rings, and swivel glider mechanisms against failure or manufacturing defects for a period of two years on parts and one year on labor.

Battery Packs, Wiring & Switches — 1 Year Parts & Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all battery packs, wiring, and switches against failure or manufacturing defects for a period of one year on parts and one year on labor.

Fabric — 1 Year Parts & Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all fabrics for a period of one year to the extent of the warranty provided to Smith Brothers by the original fabric supplier. In general, fabric manufacturers do not warrant for pilling, shading, fading, shrinkage, wrinkling, or stretching, so those properties are not covered under this warranty.

Sunbrella® Fabric — 5 Year Parts, 1 Year Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all Sunbrella® fabrics in accordance with Sunbrella’s® 5-year limited warranty.

Leather — 1 Year Parts & Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all leathers for a period of one year to the extent of the warranty provided to Smith Brothers by the original leather supplier. In general, leather manufacturers do not warrant for improper cleaning or contact damage, fading, shrinkage, wrinkling, or stretching, so those properties are not covered under this warranty. Leather is a natural product, so wrinkles, insect bites, healed scars and other natural markings, as well as some color and surface variations, are not considered flaws.

S|B Dining Warranty

Hardwood Frames — 5 Year Parts, 1 Year Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all dining chair frames against warping or breakage.

Spring Units — 5 Year Parts, 1 Year Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all dining chair seat springs against failure and loss of resiliency.

Qualux® Ultra Seat Foam Cores — 5 Year Parts, 1 Year Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all dining chair seat foam against loss of resiliency. The loss of seat foam resilience should not be confused with a slight softening of seating foam that will occur as a result of normal use.

Fabric — 1 Year Parts & Labor:
Smith Brothers of Berne warrants all fabrics for a period of one year to the extent of the warranty provided to Smith Brothers by the original fabric supplier. In general, fabric manufacturers do not warrant for pilling, shading, fading, shrinkage, wrinkling, or stretching, so those properties are not covered under this warranty.

Exclusions:
This warranty does not apply to furniture that is intentionally misused, or to damage resulting from negligence, exposure to sunlight or outdoor elements, non-residential use, improper cleaning, pet damage, or other unreasonable use, or to fabric damage or failure due to a fabric protection chemical treatment, improper cleaning, or when abnormal heavy soiling or abuse is evident. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and terminates in the event of resale or recover.

Because Smith Brothers’ furniture is made by hand using natural materials, minor variations will occur from piece to piece. This warranty does not cover such minor differences between your furniture and in-store samples, printed materials, and video or Internet displays.

Warranty begins on date of delivery to dealer. If you are experiencing a problem with your furniture, simply notify your local dealer. Smith Brothers will repair any problems that fall under their warranty at no charge to you. Depending on your location and the age of your furniture, your local dealer may require nominal charges for pickup, shipment, and re-delivery.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Trying out new furniture is exciting, but sometimes it might not be the perfect fit for you or your space. We offer a return policy to ensure your satisfaction; however, since our furniture is crafted specifically to your order, there are some limitations. Here’s how we handle returns.

Damaged Furniture Returns

• If your furniture arrives damaged, report it immediately — let the delivery person know at the time of delivery, or contact our support staff by phone at (614) 873-1932 or email at [email protected]. We’ll find someone in your area to fix it.
• If local repair isn’t possible, we’ll arrange for the piece to be returned and repaired at our expense.
• If repair is not feasible or realistic in our judgment, we will provide a full refund of the purchase price and original delivery fee.

Standard Returns Reported within 7 Days of Delivery

Since our furniture is crafted specifically to your order, changes of heart after receiving the furniture are not eligible for a full return. We can, however, offer a partial refund of your original purchase price minus a 30% restocking fee and return shipping costs. We cannot be held responsible if the furniture does not go into the designated room or is a misfit for its intended use. Neither do we accept responsibility for satisfaction in regard to wood choice, style, color, size, and other features. Please be careful when placing your order. In summary:

• 7 day return policy: Report your decision to return items within 7 days of receiving them.
• A 30% restocking fee applies.
• You are responsible for return shipping costs.
• Furniture must be unused.
• Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Discrepancies

Report any discrepancies between your order and the delivered furniture immediately — let the delivery person know at the time of delivery, or contact our support staff by phone at (614) 873-1932 or email at [email protected]. We will expedite the replacement of any damaged or incorrect items free of charge provided the error was on our part. If the error was not on our part, restocking fees may apply if you desire to cancel your order.

• Furniture damaged while in your care

Processing Returns

• Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we’ll issue a refund for the purchase price, minus the restocking fee. Applicable taxes will be refunded according to state and local laws.
• Allow up to 4 weeks for return processing.
• Expect return shipping costs to be higher than standard delivery fees; we will send you a shipping quote before finalizing the return.

Return Shipping Costs

We understand that return shipping costs can be a concern. Typically, return shipping costs for furniture are higher than our standard delivery fees because we discount the delivery price on new purchases.
