Design & Character
The Amish Durham Trestle Dining Table brings quiet, timeless elegance built on a classic trestle base. Where most tables rest on four corner legs, the Durham's trestle runs sturdy support along the length of the piece, creating a stable, sociable design with welcome legroom for every guest. Its signature arch-top detail lends refined character, and optional end extensions make room for extra guests. The table is also available in 36" counter and 42" bar heights. Skilled Amish craftsmen build each one to order in your choice of species and stain, from reclaimed barnwood to rustic hickory, so it grows more distinguished with every decade of family use.Craftsmanship
This table is benchmade by skilled Amish craftsmen using traditional techniques refined over generations, hand-crafted near Sugarcreek, Ohio where Arista Wood's story began on a family farm. Each one starts with carefully selected solid hardwood, chosen for its grain, character, and long-term structural integrity, then built for daily use. Rather than butt joints and nails, the woodworkers rely on time-tested joinery, so the piece holds firm for years, and every stain and protective topcoat is applied by hand. You choose the wood species and finish that suit your home, and every detail reflects the meticulous attention that defines genuine Amish craftsmanship.
Heirloom Quality
This isn't disposable furniture; it's an investment in your family's future. Where mass-produced pieces deteriorate and need replacing every few years, solid hardwood construction and honest joinery let this one serve for generations. Real wood is honest wood, growing more distinguished with every decade of use, its character deepening rather than wearing thin. Consider the true cost: cheaply made furniture replaced again and again over twenty years, versus one exceptional piece your grandchildren will inherit. Made to order and built to endure, it delivers value that far outlasts its price, becoming a treasured family heirloom for decades to come.

Product Specifications
Sample Size: 4½" × 4½" squareWood Species: Oak, Rustic QSWO, Rustic Cherry, Brown Maple, Sap Cherry, QSWO, Cherry, Elm, Hickory, Rustic Hickory, and Hard Maple
Finish: Your choice of stain, applied to the wood species you select
See It in Your Space
A wood stain sample lets you judge the exact wood and finish in the room where your furniture will live. Hold it against your wall paint or wallpaper in daylight and again under evening lamps, since warm and cool bulbs change how a stain reads. Set it beside your sofa fabric, rug, and curtains to see whether the undertones work together. Compare it with your floors, trim, and the wood pieces you already own. If you're mixing woods, look for a clear contrast rather than a near-match, and pair a bold grain like oak or hickory with a calmer one like maple or cherry. Think about hardware and metal finishes too. A few minutes with a sample in hand takes the guesswork out of a piece built to your order.Choosing a Sample
This standard sample covers the wood and stain options offered on most of our solid wood furniture. Each species brings its own character, from the ray fleck of quartersawn white oak to the bold grain contrast of hickory, and the same stain can look quite different from one wood to the next. Learn more on our Wood Characteristics page. Keep in mind that your custom sample is cut and stained to your order. Once it's processed, you should receive your samples in approximately two weeks.Because wood is a natural material and screens vary, colors can differ slightly from what you see online. Some variation between your sample and your finished piece should also be expected, as every board is unique and takes stain in its own way.

Description
Product Specifications
Sample Size: 4½" × 4½" squareWood Species: Oak and Rustic White Oak
Finish: Your choice of specialty stain, available in sawmark or wirebrushed texture
See It in Your Space
A specialty finish changes how a piece feels as much as how it looks, so a specialty wood sample is worth seeing in person. Hold it near a window and again under lamplight to watch how the texture catches light and shadow. Lay it next to your wallpaper or paint color, then beside upholstery, throw pillows, and area rugs to test the undertones together. Rustic textures pair naturally with linen, wool, and leather, while smoother surfaces in the room create a pleasing contrast. Check it against your floors and trim as well. Living with a sample for a day or two is the surest way to choose a finish for a piece built to your order.Choosing a Sample
This specialty sample covers the oak and rustic white oak finishes offered on select pieces of our solid wood furniture. Each stain comes in two textures: sawmarks, which carry the visible lines of the saw blade, and wirebrushed, which lifts the grain for a weathered, tactile surface. Seeing the texture in person helps you decide how much character suits your room.
