Cascade Treated Wood Pavilion from Berlin Gardens

Cascade Treated Wood Pavilion from Berlin Gardens

The Cascade is a full-roofed outdoor pavilion crowned with a four-sided hip roof that sheds rain and sun from every direction — a true outdoor room for a dining table, grill island, hot tub, or poolside lounge. Berlin Gardens builds every one to order at its shop in Berlin, Ohio, in the heart of Amish country. Notched post-and-beam joinery and stout 8" × 8" posts give it the handcrafted, timber-framed look of a permanent structure, while a two-coat factory finish keeps upkeep low.

Standard Model Includes

• 8" × 8" posts
• Straight beams
• Straight or arched braces
• Notched post-and-beam joints
• Hip roof design
• 11" overhang

Sizes & Customization

Sizes run from 12 to 26 feet, measured to the outside of the roof rather than the post footprint. Built from treated Southern Yellow Pine, each pavilion is finished in your choice of paint or stain, including Mocha, Cedartone, Stormcloud Gray, Black Onyx, and Mahogany. Choose a standard rafter, triple-rafter, or exposed-rafter-and-sheathing ceiling, add a wood or Cedartone interior, and top it with 30-year architectural shingles or standing-seam metal roofing. Privacy walls, a media wall, curtains, and gutter boards tailor the space further.

Why You’ll Love It

A pergola filters the sun; a pavilion gives you a true roof, so the space stays usable through a passing rain or a hot afternoon. The hip design, which sheds weather on all four sides, pairs naturally with stonework, an outdoor kitchen, or a hanging fan and lights. Because it is engineered and built to your exact size and finish, it reads as a permanent part of the home rather than a kit dropped on the patio. Whether you are covering a hot tub, a grill island, or a long table for company, it turns an open slab into the outdoor room you actually live in.
